Abstract
We have fabricated a micro- and nano-hierarchical structure on an alumina plate by a simple hydrothermal method. Hexafluorophosphate octahedrons with nanoparticles on each of the eight plane surfaces were obtained. After self-assembling of a film of perfluorooctanoic acid, the Al plate with a high contact angle of 160 ± 2°, exhibited a nonwetting property.
