The Tavistock and Group-Analytic approaches to group psychotherapy: A trainee's perspective 1 Under the pseudonym of El Cid, this paper was presented at the 12th World Contress of Group Psychotherapy in Buenos Aires, in August 1995. Versions of the paper were given to scientific meetings at the Tavistock Clinic, in November 1994, and at the Institute of Group Analysis, in November 1995.
