Abstract
We present studies of a role of electronic correlations on transport through a ferromagnetic single-electron transistor. Correlations enhance the magnetoresistance effect in the incoherent sequential tunneling regime. For coherent transport we found reduction of the magnetoresistance, which can be even negative for asymmetric junctions. Although in the magnetic system transition rates are different for electrons with opposite spins, we predict that the Kondo resonance with a formation of the singlet state can be observable and the electronic transport reaches the unitary limit.
