Abstract

The inhomogeneous-state transport properties in the superconducting and normal state are discussed in the context of the mesoscopic Jahn–Teller pair model. Bose condensation of preformed pairs and phase coherence percolation models with pair tunneling are compared and the predictions examined. The normal-state resistivity in the a–b plane as a function of doping and temperature is found to be described very well by a simple two-component model of the inhomogeneous state with coexisting Bosons and Fermions.
