Abstract

Properties of poly(amidourethane esters) of different chemical compositions cured by 4,4′-diphenylmethane diisocyanate are studied. It is established that these materials are amorphous polymers composed of alternating hard and elastic blocks with different chemical compositions and structures. The procedure for determining molecular mass by viscometry using the Mark-Kuhn-Houwink equation is considered, and the equation for calculating molecular mass of poly(amidourethane esters) as a function of their viscosity is obtained. The affinity of polymer for different solvents is studied. It is revealed that the reduced viscosity of poly(amidourethane esters) increases for elastic polymers with concentration to a larger extent than for hard polymers. The most effective solvents for each considered type of poly(amidourethane esters) are reported.
