Abstract
The ferroelectromagnet ceramics Pb(Fe0.5Nb0.5)O3 (PFN) has been synthesized by solid state reaction technique. The measurements of the dielectric constant and loss as a function of temperatures and frequencies determined the relaxor ferroelectric behavior of this compound. The X-ray diffraction pattern shows the phase purity and the SEM images of fractured surface demonstrate the granular properties of the materials. In this paper, we study the magnetic field effect on the dielectric properties of PFN by measuring the dielectric constant and loss at different applied magnetic fields and different temperatures.
