Abstract

The genus Eulonchus contains large species (from ½” to 1”), which are often metallic green or blue, have a long proboscis (often extending beyond the tip of the abdomen), are nectar feeders, and are very active fliers. The hosts are still unknown, but Eulonchus species are presumably internal spider parasites, as are all known species of the family throughout the world.
