Abstract

Among grafted root-top combinations of Pinus elliottii Engelm., P. taeda L., and P. echinata Mill. growing under improved conditions, scions grafted on the rootstocks of faster growing species averaged little or no more height growth than on their own roots. Scions averaged less growth on rootstocks of slower growing species than on their own roots.
