Abstract
A survey located 72 two-year forest technician schools in 27 states during 1978-79. Total enrollment was 3,500 to 4,000, with 1,300 to 1,400 graduates expected in 1979. Of 1978 graduates, 73 percent had found jobs in forest technology by early 1979, and 10 percent had other employment. Industry was the main employer in 1978.
