Abstract
Excess molar volumes of an aqueous solution of 2-(2-butoxyethoxy)ethanol {CH 3 (CH 2 ) 3 O(CH 2 CH 2 O) 2 H have been investigated as a function of composition and temperature. The measurements have been made at the temperatures (278.149, 288.146, 298.144 and 308.141) K. The value of V m is negative over the whole composition range and increases with temperature. In the mole fraction region at about x = 0.02 D similar behaviour is observed to that of 2-butoxyethanol.
