Abstract
The new species Drupeus hygropetricus from hygropetric habitats in North Taiwan is described and illustrated. A cladistic analysis of ten examplar genera of Ptilodactylidae and three outgroups with 81 characters (47 adult, 33 larval and one pupal) strongly supports the monophyly of the Cladotominae and the inclusion of the genus Drupeus within that subfamily. The morphological adaptations of the immature stages of Drupeus to hygropetric habitats are discussed.
