Abstract

We discuss production of hybrid textile yarns containing reinforcing and thermoplastic components within their structure, the technology for processing them into warp-knit fabrics (intermediates), and the manufacture of thermoplastic composites based on them. We have studied three types of structures for the hybrid yarns, fabrics, and thermoplastic composites based on them. We have determined the tensile and bending strength properties of the thermoplastic composites.
