Abstract

Etherification activities of H-Beta zeolites with different Si/Al ratios by modified oxides H-Beta zeolites were studied. The surface acidities and structure characters of the catalysts with different Si/Al ratios and modified H-Beta zeolite were characterized by XRD and NH 3 -TPD. The effects of the acidities of these zeolites on etherification conversion of tert-olefins were investigated. The results showed that the activity of H-Beta zeolite was higher than Y zeolite. Etherification activities of H-Beta zeolites with different Si/Al ratios decreased as the Si/Al ratio increased. La-modification increased the etherification activities of H-Beta zeolites, and B-modification increased etherification activities of H-Beta zeolites in lower loadings and decreased in higher loadings.
