Abstract

Polish raw kaolin material scoured and additionally dispersed in a stream mill has been used as a rubber filler. A new method of modifying kaolins by silane coupling agents has been developed. The extent of filler modification was estimated by measuring the heat of immersion. Then unmodified and modified kaolins were tested in two types of rubber mixture.
