Abstract
Provides a case study of total quality implementation at a company which designs, manufactures and installs safety and control systems, employing over 1,000 staff worldwide. Reports on each stage of the implementation, noting the involvement of a university in the cultural analysis of the company. Claims positive results from the implementation, including reduction in build costs and budget hours; and considers the way ahead, noting that there remains much still to do.
