Abstract

A total of 43 resonances was observed b bombarding 28 Si with 14.3 –15.4 MeV alpha particles.Of these 26 were observed in both the elas- tic and inelastic channels.A dominant angular momentum of L =8was assigned to most of the resonances based on the analysis of di .erential cross- sections measured in .ve keV steps at nine backward angles between 150 and 173 degrees.Auto-correlation of the elastic excitation function yields a mean resonance width of 20 keV.
